Marinas in Spain

Spain's Mediterranean coast is not everywhere the most attractive. Marinas are frequent and not always expensive, but for instance from Sitges south to Valencia and further, it is featureless. Andalucia is not that exciting either. The northern part of the Costa Brava is appealing but very crowded in August. The Balearics are one of the golden cruising grounds of Europe, but proximity and fame make them impossibly expensive for many of us.

You can charter a yacht in many parts of Spain, but the large fleets are all concentrated in the Balearics

We have divided Mediterranean Spain into five main sailing areas, of which four on the Mainland. We considered splitting the Balearics into three, but suggest that visitors use the filter system to home in on what they want to see.
