The Murcia region offers some of the best sailing on Spain's mainland Mediterranean coast far better for instance than E. Andalucia, Valencia, or Barcelona. Only the northern Costa Brava is better. The Balearics are in a different league. The map above shows what is available. To be able to plot a course, please subscribe to our Navigation system
Alicante, the Mar Menor, La Manga,, and Cartagena are all interesting places to visit and the latter has a good reputation as a place to over-winter. There are acceptable anchorages along the coast, rather than the grey sand all too common elsewhere.
If you want to charter,, the best base in the area is Denia
